Heidi Klum wowed fans once again with her Halloween costume, debuting a stunning Medusa look at her 24th annual Heidiween party in New York City. The supermodel arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel red carpet in a hand-painted outfit that combined creativity and mythological flair.

“I look forward to Halloween all year,” Klum told Vogue. “I have been doing this for 24 years, and hope I can do it forever. Every year, I get more inspired and more enthusiastic. It is just a perfect day to be silly, dress up, dance with friends, be creative, and eat candy!”

This year, Klum chose to reinterpret the classic Greek monster Medusa, a figure she described as “truly iconic—mysterious yet ferocious. The legend of her turning humans to stone has fascinated audiences for centuries.” She added that Medusa’s haunting presence in art and mythology inspired her to give the character a modern twist.

The costume featured moving mechanical snakes atop Klum’s head and a custom split snake tongue, created with the help of special effects artist Mike Marino. Klum spent nine hours in the makeup chair to bring the look to life. “I love that all of the snakes move independently—they look so real,” she said. “I love a challenge, so I am always striving to outdo myself from the years before.”

Although Klum usually plans her costumes years in advance, this year’s Medusa look came together in just a few months. Marino and a team of more than 15 people worked for six months to create the intricate design. Klum praised her collaborators for their enthusiasm and creativity, saying they share her love for the macabre. “At their heart, they are just kids going wild with a box of crayons,” she explained.

Over the years, Klum has become known for her inventive and elaborate Halloween costumes, having transformed into Jessica Rabbit, a peacock, E.T., and other unforgettable characters. Each year, fans eagerly await to see what she will do next, and her Medusa costume is no exception.
