The German-American model and TV personality, who has been dubbed the ‘Queen of Halloween’, has earned a reputation for unveiling her transformative and intricate Halloween costumes every year. She celebrated the 25th anniversary of her annual Halloween party this year.
Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, dressed up as a soldier who had been turned to stone. In Greek mythology, Medusa has living snakes on her head, and her appearance turns people into stone.
Sharing a reel of the costume on Instagram, Klum wrote in the caption, “HAPPY HEIDIWEEN. Don’t stare too long or you’ll turn to stone.”
Klum’s full body costume included a large tail, a scaly torso, fangs and moving snakes on top of her head. At the red carpet unveiling, Klum hissed and stuck out her tongue to embody the character.
The celebrity had shared a behind-the-scenes look at the costume on 31 October, giving credit to make-up designer Mike Marino, who has also worked on A Different Man, Coming 2 America and The Batman. Marino has also received three Oscar nominations and won an Emmy for his work on The Penguin.
On Sunday, Klum wrote, “For [Heidi Halloween] 2025 I set my gaze on bringing a classic monster into the modern world, and Medusa was irresistible … iconic, mysterious, ferocious.”
“Her legend and the art she’s inspired prove how haunting and timeless her power is,” she added.
She also showed love to her husband, writing “I love you” in German.
“A Gorgon is only as powerful as the ssssspectacular [sic] team behind her. From the bottom of my stone-cold heart, thank you for transforming me from mortal to myth. It truly takes a village.”
