With Funny Video: Helene Fischer Announces Christmas Album
Ten years after her album “Weihnachten”, Helene Fischer (41) is releasing new music for the holidays. This time, the now mother of two is dedicating herself to the younger generation: “Die schönsten Kinderlieder – Winter- und Weihnachtszeit” will be released on November 28. Fischer herself drew attention to it with a funny video on her Instagram account.
“Are you already in the mood?”
In it, the singer, dressed in a red sweater and blue jeans, can be seen decorating a Christmas tree. Suddenly, her voice sounds from somewhere, singing “Jingle Bells”, whereupon Helene Fischer looks around in surprise and then continues hanging her ornament with a shrug. “Is it that time again…?” reads the caption on the clip. And Fischer added in her comment: “Dear ones, we won’t see each other again until 2026, but there’s still something to hear this year! Are you already in the mood?”
Album with 25 Titles
The album, produced by Alex Christensen, can be pre-ordered starting now. “I love the Christmas season and the special atmosphere it awakens in all of us”, Helene Fischer is quoted in a press release with further details. It is her “heartfelt desire to bring this magic into children’s rooms as well” and “something very special” that she can now expand her songs from “Weihnachten”, released in 2015, “with 25 more well-known titles, specially produced for children”. “This way the whole family can sing together, laugh and enjoy the Christmas season in their very own way.”
Helene Fischer also presents some of the songs in a German version, such as “Jingle Bells” and “Lass es schneien (Let It Snow!)”. In addition, a duet with children’s song icon Rolf Zuckowski (78) can be heard. “Bald ist Weihnachten” will be released in advance on November 14. “I have adapted my song ‘Inseln der Stille’ for Helene Fischer’s new album with a Christmas message to children and families”, emphasizes Zuckowski. “I’m happy that Helene can now explore the celebration and its deeper meaning with me and the Blankenäschen.”
Christmas Album Instead of Christmas Show
The Christmas album is already the third edition of Helene Fischer’s children’s song series and perhaps a small consolation that her popular TV Christmas show is being canceled this year. After all, the 41-year-old can be seen on the show “Klein gegen Groß”, which is scheduled to air on December 13 on Ersten.
