“I am very, very happy”, says Helene Fischer (41) in conversation with “Brisant” celebrity expert Susanne Klehn. In summer, the 41-year-old became a mother for the second time. She is enjoying the new phase of life, which is also characterized by anticipation. “Right now it’s the most beautiful phase because I get to wait for something – as many fans do, of course – next year it starts again”, she says. What she means by that: Her big comeback on stage is coming in 2026. Fischer will celebrate her 20th stage anniversary with spectacular stadium concerts and a 360-degree stage.

But currently, something else is the focus. “I’m just enjoying the peace and quiet so much right now and the completely normal craziness of everyday life”, says Fischer. “I’m incredibly grateful that everyone is healthy, that everyone is doing well – and yes, it couldn’t be better right now.”

Between Mom Life and Stage Helene

The everyday life of the mother of two currently looks very different than during show times. The switch between the different roles isn’t always easy: “I’m just switching from my other role to professional Helene.”

To not forget the latter, the entertainer has developed a very special routine. “For me, a lot of memories and emotions only come back when I see videos”, she says. She sometimes spends her evenings browsing the internet a bit and watching her old videos. “It just does me good – just to know again a little bit: There’s also that other side of me”, she says.

Christmas Market Instead of Christmas Show

This year is something very special for Helene Fischer – apart from COVID, it’s the first year without her legendary ZDF Christmas show. “Usually I’m always right in the middle of preparations for my show at this time and have my head somewhere completely different”, she says. In recent years, she could only dream of visiting a Christmas market. This year she can experience all of that again for the first time. “Of course I won’t miss out on that.”

What does that mean specifically? She will “feast her way through” the upcoming pre-Christmas season, Fischer announces with a laugh. “I will also thoroughly enjoy the Christmas season.” When asked whether she shouldn’t already be avoiding Christmas treats, she has a clear answer: “Generally speaking, I’m actually a total bon vivant, even if you might think I’m super disciplined all year round. That’s not the case at all. I really let life be life and really let loose.”

Child-Friendly Cooking Doesn’t Mean Diet

Especially in “mom life”, the topic of nutrition is very different than many would think. She cooks kid-friendly meals and eats everything along with them – but that’s not just chicken with vegetables, she jokes. Her first daughter was born in December 2021, the second in August 2025.

However, when the new year starts, she will put on the brakes: Starting in January, she will begin preparations, the singer explains. But it’s not about superficial things like counting calories or “getting in shape”. Her goal: To “physically endure” the stadium tour, meaning to work on stamina and muscles.

Anticipation for 2026

Fischer’s anticipation for her big comeback is clearly evident. Despite challenges, planning, and organization, she wants to “spend the time of my life with the fans and also celebrate again and be able to express myself on stage”, she enthuses. With her stadium concerts and the spectacular 360-degree stage, she wants to set new standards next year and properly celebrate her 20-year stage anniversary. Overall, the tour includes 14 open-air concerts between June 10 and July 17, 2026 in eleven cities.

But until then, it’s all about: nibbling cookies, drinking mulled wine, and enjoying the Christmas season like never before.
