Supermodel and Halloween costume extraordinaire Heidi Klum has celebrated one of her children’s birthdays by sharing a rare photograph of the pair together. Klum posted the image of her 19-year-old son Johan in a heartfelt tribute to him.

Heidi Klum Celebrates Son’s Birthday With Instagram Tribute

Klum shared the images on her personal Instagram account, which showcases both the model and Johan in a candid moment. She provided little detail about when and where the picture was taken, but it is clear that it is from some years ago as her son is noticeably much younger than now. It is also possible that the image is from a Disney theme park, as Klum can be seen wearing a Minnie Mouse ears headband.

What is clear, though, is that the mother and son pair are sharing a happy moment together, as evidenced by the large smiles on both of their faces.

Accompanying the post with a written message, Klum wished her son a happy birthday and explained how happy he has made her over the years. “Happy 19th Birthday Johan,” Klum writes. “Watching you grow has been my biggest joy in life. I am so proud of the young man you have become. Your future is shining bright just like you. I love you so deeply my son.”

Johan is the son of both Klum and musician Seal. Although they are no longer together, Klum and Seal share four children together, including Johan, Henry, Lou, and Leni. In recent months, Johan has graduated from high school and is currently attending college in New York City. Earlier this year Klum shared another photograph of her and her children helping Johan move into his dorm.

Klum Returns To ‘Project Runway’

Earlier this year, Klum returned to “Project Runway” for the 21st season. She had previously spent some 16 seasons acting as a judge on the reality television series before departing on an eight-year hiatus and being replaced by Karlie Kloss. She was joined by original judge Nina Garcia and Law Roach.

The series began airing in July of 2025 and concluded in September, with Veejay Floresca ultimately being crowned winner of season 21 of “Project Runway.”
