By now, fans of Heidi Klum are probably familiar with the model’s love of a good topless moment. Whether she’s in her garden, by the pool, or splashing around in the ocean, she loves to ditch her top whenever she can. In a new Instagram video, the model shared a blissful tanning moment by the water. In the video, she lounged on her stomach on a towel, bikini top off, smiling peacefully as the sun hit her back. She captioned the post with three simple emojis to sum up her mood: “☀️👙😊”

Klum has. along history of proudly going without her top. Last June, she posed topless by the pool to ring in her 51st birthday. A few months later, she shared a video of herself enjoying the ocean sans bikini top. She also shared an Instagram Story of herself topless in bed. This June, she posed topless while trying on lingerie. The following month, she was back in the ocean in nothing but red bikini bottoms.

During a 2024 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, Klum explained that she simply enjoys being without her top whenever it’s appropriate.

“Obviously, when you know, no one is there,” she said. “I’m in my garden also, you know, I’m topless.”

She will make an exception when her kids’ friends come over. “They will come, like, ‘You know, my friend is coming over, mom, put your top on.’ And I’m like, ‘When have I ever not had a top on when your friend was coming over? Of course, I will,'” she said, adding, “I also don’t want to flash anyone just to flash someone. I just don’t love tan lines.”

In another recent interview with People, she clarified that her kids don’t give her penchant for going topless a second thought—in fact, it’s made them more comfortable in their own bodies. “I’ve always been very open with my body. When I’m suntanning in the backyard, I might not have a top on,” she said. “I’m European …my kids don’t know me any other way and are probably more easygoing with their bodies because of it.”
