Heidi Klum Slammed Over Bodycon Dress As Fans Say She ‘Needs A Good Stylist’: ‘Trying Too Hard’

Heidi Klum was spotted out in New York City following her Oscars appearance, stepping out in a festive look seemingly inspired by St. Patrick’s Day—though not everyone was impressed.
On Tuesday afternoon, the German supermodel wore an olive green bodycon dress by Ronny Kobo, featuring a ruched midi skirt, drop-waist silhouette, and an asymmetrical inverted V-shaped hemline. The sheer fabric revealed glimpses of her upper body while hugging her midsection. She paired the look with black stilettos, a matching top-handle purse, tinted sunglasses, and stacked jewelry, while her hair was styled in soft waves.
Heidi Klum Slammed Over Her Sheer Dress
Klum is no stranger to bold, revealing fashion choices and has previously said she doesn’t pay attention to criticism—but that didn’t stop fans from weighing in on Instagram.
“Just because you can doesn’t mean you should,” one user wrote. Others commented, “Always trying too hard,” and “I wish this sheer trend would go away.”
Some were more direct, adding, “She needs a good stylist,” and “This is not wow in any way.” Another wrote, “Why do we need to see through the dress? It didn’t fit her,” while another commenter called the look “inappropriate.”
“She insists on wearing the same clothes she used to wear when she was thinner. Accept your new body and wear more flattering outfits,” one person added.
Still, not all reactions were negative. Supporters praised her confidence, with one fan writing, “Gorgeous! I love this carefree Heidi—she’s finally just living her life.” Another added, “She looks amazing, especially after four kids,” while one supporter summed it up: “Stunner. Women should wear whatever they want, whenever they want.”
Heidi Klum Talks About Embracing Herself In Her 50s
Heidi has long embraced sheer, naked-illusion fashion—and she’s not slowing down.
At the 2026 Grammys, the blonde beauty made headlines in a controversial custom “second-skin” dress by Marina Hoermanseder. The sculptural piece was created using a 3D mold of her body and lacquered to match her skin tone, giving it a glossy, barely-there effect.
Months earlier, at the Paris Fashion Week in October 2025, she stepped out at the Vetements show wearing a fully sheer white lace gown from the label’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
At 52, the mother of four has made it clear she’s unapologetic about her bold style choices. Speaking to People in July 2025, she encouraged others to embrace confidence at any age. “You’re not off the shelf. We are very much on that shelf for everyone to see,” she said. “Don’t hide in your 50s. We only have this one life, so keep living it.”
She also reflected on how attitudes toward aging have evolved. “Now it’s okay to be older—but it didn’t use to be like that,” Klum shared. “I feel like we’re more welcoming of wrinkles and changes in our bodies. Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we’ve changed and come all that way.”
