The US designer show ‘Project Runway’ will return for its 22nd season in 2026 – and Heidi Klum (52) will once again be the host. Disney has announced the new season of the show where young fashion designers compete against each other.

‘See you in 2026’

Klum also shared the news on her Instagram account. ‘See you in 2026,’ she wrote alongside a trailer, expressing her excitement about reuniting with her colleagues Christian Siriano, Nina Garcia and ‘the rest of the family.’

After a multi-year break, Klum returned to the format this year, alongside judges Nina Garcia and Law Roach, as well as mentor (and season four winner) Christian Siriano. The 21st season aired from July to September. All four will return for the next season. The exact air date for the new episodes in 2026 has not yet been announced.

Disney is the show’s third home. ‘Project Runway’ began in 2004 on Bravo and ran there for five seasons, then moved to Lifetime for seasons 6 through 17, before returning to Bravo for seasons 18 through 20 and subsequently moving to Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+.

After 16 seasons, Heidi Klum took a ‘Project Runway’ break

Heidi Klum had hosted the first 16 seasons of the show. She then left to produce her Amazon series ‘Making the Cut’ with longtime mentor Tim Gunn. Her hosting duties on ‘Project Runway’ were taken over by fellow model Karlie Kloss. Since 2006, Klum has also been hosting ‘Germany’s next Topmodel’ on ProSieben, which will enter its 21st season in 2026. From 2013 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2024, she was also a judge on ‘America’s Got Talent’.
