Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex-assistant Capricorn Clark told jurors Tuesday that Cassie Ventura once floated the idea of dating rap superstar Jay-Z — Diddy’s close friend and collaborator dating back to the ’90s — though the “Me & U” singer likely made the comment in jest.

Clark testified about a conversation in which she warned Ventura to “move away” from Combs, who physically abused her for years.
“You told Cassie… ‘You should move away from him and date other people,’ right?” Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo asked Clark.
“And she said to you that Jay-Z was taken, who would she date?” Agnifilo continued.
“True,” Clark replied.

“She said that?” Agnfilo pressed.
“She did,” Clark responded.
Combs’ lawyer name-dropped Jay-Z in his final question to Clark before she left the stand Tuesday afternoon.
Jay-Z has been married to pop icon Beyoncé since 2008.
